How To Debloat Samsung Galaxy Watch 4?

Hi friends, today I am going to help you to debloat your Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. If you are not sure what is a debloat, debloating is removing the unwanted stock apps on your Galaxy Watch. This will indeed provide with some extra space and improved performance.

Before proceeding to the actual tutorial please allow me to introduce you to the Galaxy Watch4.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The Galaxy Watch4 is a smartwatch developed by Samsung Electronics with Tizen OS.

Key features of the Galaxy Watch4:

  1. Wearable OS: It runs on Samsung’s Tizen-based operating system that work seamlessly with Samsung smartphones and other Android Smartpones.
  2. Fitness and Health Tracking: Samsung’s Galaxy Watch series often includes a range of fitness and health tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, GPS for outdoor activities, and various workout modes.
  3. 3rd Party Apps: It typically supports a range of third-party apps that can be downloaded and used directly on the watch. This allows for customization and expanding functionality.
  4. Water Resistance: It’s up to 50m water resistant and IP68 certified, making it suitable for swimming and other water-based activities.

Steps to debloat Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The first step is to enable the Developer Mode on Galaxy Watch 4

1. Enable Developer Mode on Galaxy Watch 4

For that please navigate to Settings -> Information about the clock -> Software. Now tap on software version until you see the developer mode is activated.

Now you need to enable ADB on your Galaxy Watch4

2. Enable ADB on Galaxy Watch 4

For this please go to “Developer options“. Here enable ADB debugging and Debugging via wifi. Now connect your computer and Galaxy Watch 4 to the same Wifi connection. Once done, on Watch 4 please go to Wifi settings and tap on the connection to which it is currently connected and scroll down and look at the ip address, please note it down.

3. Running ADB

Now on the computer open ADB minimal. and input the following commands.

a.  “adb connect (your ip address)

b. “adb shell done” (you can choose which apps to keep and which to remove)

You can use this command if you don’t have a Samsung Galaxy phone

pm uninstall -k –user 0

After the new update

pm uninstall -k –user 0
pm uninstall -k –user 0
pm uninstall -k –user 0
pm uninstall -k –user 0
pm uninstall -k –user 0
pm uninstall -k –user 0

Don’t forget to turn off ADB on watch4 when you have finished.
