How To Resolve "not registered on network" Error on Galaxy Smartphone? (Jio 4G SIM India)

There can be a number of reasons behind the "not registered on network" error you are getting on your Samsung Galaxy Android Smartphone, however today we are concentrating only on the error we get while using the Reliance Jio India 4G SIM.

Steps To Resolve "not registered on network" Error on A Galaxy Smartphone With Reliance Jio 4G SIM

1. First of all lets start with the simple and usual procedures like entering and exiting from the "Airplane Mode". For that click the menu button you get while scrolling down the notification bar and tap on the "Flight Mode" to enable and tap it again to disable it.

Also you may enter "Airplane Mode" from the settings menu.

If that doesn't resolved your issue please proceed to the next step.

2. This method applies both for hybrid dual SIM phones and normal dual SIM ones.

Most probably if you are facing a "not registered on network" error and you call the Reliance Jio customer care you will be asked to put the Jio SIM in "Slot 1" of your Galaxy Smartphone. Please cross check the below image for identifying the SIM slot numbers.

Please note that the above image applies for the hybrid SIM slotted Galaxy Android Smartphones only, for normal dual SIM smartphones the slots are very much straight forward.

But if that doesn't solve your issue, you just do the reverse, just put your Reliance Jio SIM card in the "Slot 2" of your Galaxy Smartphone and your issue will be resolved. By the way don't forget to assign the 4G capabilities to the Slot 2 though.

If you are not sure how to set 4G capabilities to a SIM please go through the below screenshots.

First please open the "Settings" menu and tap on "SIM card manager".

Now tap on your desired SIM you like to edit settings. Here I have already renamed SIM1 and SIM 2 to my names of choice.

Once tapped you will get the below screen here tap on "Network mode".

When you get a drop down as shown below please select the network type you wanted.

If you still have difficulty in making calls on your Jio network then please install the Jio4GVoice app from Google Play Store and try again. Please don't forget to enable "Mobile Data" while making calls using Jio4GVoice application.

I am from maharashtra. I was using Samsung galaxy A51. I have both sims of Jio.
The jio sim is not working in new mobile. Incoming and outgoing calls are not working. I have tried in jiocall app also. While trying for outgoing call I just ends the call. In status bar it shows jio not configured. It is showing Emergency calls onlyPlz help.

I am from maharashtra. I was using Samsung galaxy ju. I have purchased a new Samsung m20 mobile from Dubai. I have 2 sims airtel and jio.
The jio sim is not working in new mobile. Data is working. Incoming and outgoing calls are not working. I have tried in jiocall app also. While trying for outgoing call I just ends the call. In status bar it shows jio not configured. Plz help.

Hey I'm having the same issue with Samsung s20plus. Plz update me if you have sorted your issue. Mobile data working but incoming & outgoing not working in jio.

If you are not able to resolve the issue using the above methods then only option left is to use the Jio app and make calls using mobile data.
Jio has that serious flaw, many of the customers complain.

it ain't working that way through Jio app too. Just visited the Samsung service center and he told me to speak with jio people and request for new sim. Which I'm about to do. Once its done will update you. Cheers

I purchased new samsung galaxy M30s. Iam in roming ffor Airtel connection. 4g net work is working but for making calls it showing sim is not regestred to the network and the roming simble fluctuating some time showing and sometime not showing. either net or calls only working. most of the time it is showing sim in not registered. pls help me

JIO SIM was active in India. Travelled to UAE and recharged 1101 IR pack.
Signal appears but unable to connect to data or make calls in UAE. Shows "Not registered on network" error.
Tried switching slots, APN set, restarted, mobile network is set to LTE but nothing helps.

Hai now iam inserting my jio sim(fourmonth not used) new galaxy A30 its showing "not registered on network" what I have to do now !!! Have to recharge? Or any other option

First contact Jio customer service and make sure that your SIM is still active. There is a possibility that it is deactivated as it was not used for 4 months.
