I went thru the entire process and when I did all the ODIN steps something evidently did not complete. I did not get a pass message and the phone never restarted.
I finally removed battery to clear the android downloading screen....
I started over .... The Odin screen did not have PDA as an option, only BL, AP, CP, CSC

How do I correct my problem?

In the new Odin you have to click "AP" instead of "PDA". Also please confirm whether you have enabled USB debugging mode on your phone.

Same problem. I tried once and it failed now the phone will not show up in Odin any more. The phone still connects as install and media modes but not in recovery mode. This sucks!!!!

You are supposed to enter into "Download Mode", not recovery mode.
