So in this tutorial I am going to help you in rooting your favourite Galaxy S6 running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow using the CF Auto Root method. 1. First you need to download the correct file for rooting Samsung Galaxy S6 from the below given links.

(please extract the files to your PC desktop)

2. Now please enter your Galaxy S6 into "Download Mode". In order to enter into download mode press and hold "Home"+"Volume Down"+ "Power" buttons at the same time. Release the buttons when the warning screen arrives, and press "Volume Up" to enter into "Download Mode". The below given image shows the final download mode.

3. Now open Odin as "Administrator" and connect your device to the PC using a USB cable. An "Added" message from the Odin confirms a successful connection.

4. One done please click "PDA/AP" and select the CF Auto Root tar.md5 file which you have already downloaded and extracted to your PC desktop, then click "Start" button to start the rooting procedure.

A successful rooting procedure can be confirmed by the "Pass" message from the Odin.

If you have tried rooting using this tutorial then this method only supports SM-G920T and not SM-G920T1 till now.
SM-G920T is from T-Mobile and SM-G920T1 is from Metro PCS. However I have updated the tutorial with a download link for your model ie, SM-G920T1 which can be found as the last link in the below URL;
