How To Root Galaxy S5 On Marshmallow 6.0.1 Using CF-Auto Root?(All Models)

Hi guys, this tutorial will help you to root Samsung Galaxy S5 on Marshmallow 6.0.1 using the CF-Auto Root.

Prerequisites to root Galaxy S5 on Marshmallow 6.0.1

Before proceeding with the procedure given here please make sure that you have made a complete backup of your phone memory including contacts, photos etc. Also the phone battery should be charged to a min of 80%.

Steps To Root Galaxy S5 on Marshmallow 6.0.1

1. First please download the appropriate file to root your Samsung Galaxy S5 from the below given links;

2.  Once you have downloaded the correct file please extract it. Kindly check the below screen shot to confirm the file contents;

 

3. Now you need to enable “USB debugging mode” on Samsung Galaxy S5 which can be done from Settings->Developer Options->USB Debugging. Also you may try the detailed tutorial given below.

Entering Download  Mode

4. Once it is done enter Samsung Galaxy S5 into the “Download Mode“, to do that switch off your phone and press and hold “Volume Down+Home+Power buttons at the same time until you get the warning screen like the one given below.

Now please press “Volume Up” button to confirm and you will be entered into the android “Download Mode“. Please check the below screen shot to confirm the final download mode screen.

4. Now open Odin as administrator and connect your Galaxy S5 running on Marshmallow 6.0.1 with your computer using the USB data cable. You will get an “Added” message from the Odin which confirms the successful connection. Now you have to click the “PDA/AP” button and select the extracted “.tar.md5” file from your PC desktop.

Please make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are only check marked in the Odin.

5. Once confirmed click the “Start” button in the Odin and please wait till the rooting procedure is finished. When it’s done your device will restart to attain superuser privileges.

You can now confirm whether the procedure was successful or not from the “Pass” message in Odin.
