Steps to root Samsung Galaxy Note5 running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware using the CF-Auto-Root method

1. Please confirm and download the correct file for your Galaxy Note5 from the below given links and extract it your PC desktop.

2. Once the correct file is downloaded please enable the “USB debugging” on your Note5. The below tutorial explains the procedure in detail.

3. Once the USB debugging is enabled please switch of your phone and enter it into the download mode. To enter into download mode please follow the below given tutorial.

4. Now open the Odin.exe file with admin privileges and connect your Galaxy Note5  using the USB data cable with your PC. If the connection was successful you will get an “Added” message from the Odin window.

5. Now please click the “PDA/AP” button in the Odin app and select “tar.md5” file which you have unzipped on your computer desktop. To start the rooting process click the “Start” button in the Odin.

During the rooting process your Galaxy Note5 will reboot several times which is quite normal. When the process is finished you will get a “Pass” message from the Odin.
