It's been a longtime since Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update has been pushed to Samsung Galaxy S6, even though we have written tutorial on rooting it with KingRoot APK we didn't wrote anything using CF-Auto Root method. Before proceeding with the procedure given here please make sure that you have made a complete backup of your phone memory including contacts, photos etc. Also the phone battery should be charged to a min of 80%.

Now extract the downloaded files. Check the below screenshot for file contents.
3. Now to root your Galaxy S6, please enable USB debugging on your Galaxy S6. Follow the below given tutorial for reference.

4. Once done enter your S6 into "Download Mode", to do that switch it off and press and hold "Volume Down+Home+Power buttons at the same time until you get a warning screen like the one shown below.
When you get the warning window press "Volume Up" button and you will be entered into "Download Mode". The below snap shot shows the download mode screen.
4. Now please open Odin on your computer and connect your Galaxy S6 with your PC using the USB data cable. An "Added" message from the Odin is an indication of a successful connection.
Now in the Odin click the "AP" button and select the extracted ".tar.md5" file from your PC desktop. You can refer the below given snapshot if you want.
Please make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are only check marked in the Odin.
5. Once confirmed please click the "Start" button in the Odin to intitiate the rooting procedure. After the process is finished your device will restart and it will be rooted with super user rights.
